Shikhar Dhawan’s Ex-Wife ‘Threatens’ to Ruin his Career

Shikhar Dhawan has filed a lawsuit against his ex-wife Aesha Mukerji after she allegedly threatened to ruin his career and attempted to discredit him.

Since their divorce, the cricketer and Aesha Mukerji have made headlines for taking shots at each other on social media and calling each other names.

According to reports, Aesha tried to damage his reputation once more by sending some disparaging texts to Dhiraj Malhotra, the CEO of his former IPL team the Delhi Capitals.

In response, Shikhar immediately filed a lawsuit against her and took stern measures to prevent his ex-wife from coming between his professional life.

Sources have reported that Shikhar believed that his ex-wife was beginning a smear campaign against him to spite him.

At present, as the defamatory lawsuit case went to the court, Delhi’s Patiala House Court’s judge, Harish Kumar gave his verdict to prevent Aesha from maliciously attempting to ruin Shikhar’s career.

The court reportedly issued an order prohibiting Aesha from making defamatory claims against Shikhar.

However, Aesha is free to lodge her complaints with the relevant authority.

The judge was reported as saying:

“Reputation of a person is dear to everyone and is considered as a property of the highest degree because materialistic property can be regained after a loss but reputation cannot be regained once damaged.

“Therefore, it has got to be protected.

“However, it is equally true that if anyone has a lawful grievance against someone, he or she cannot be restrained from venting out his or her grievance to the concerned authority.

“Therefore, in these circumstances, she is hereby restrained till further order from circulating any of her grievance against Dhawan or her version of the dispute involved herein or the alleged defamatory and false material against him, to social media, to print media or to any other forum or friends, relatives or colleagues of the parties.”

Shikhar Dhawan and his Aesha Mukerji tied the knot on October 30, 2012.

Aesha also had two daughters from her first marriage, Rhea Dhawan and Aliyah Dhawan.

On December 26, 2014, Shikhar and Aesha welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Zoravar Dhawan.

However, on September 6, 2021, Aesha announced her separation from her cricketer husband.

Additionally, Aesha also got custody of their son and began living with her three kids in her home country of Australia.
