“Overwhelmed with the love and appreciation"

Sidharth Malhotra’s Shershaah has made history by becoming Amazon Prime Video’s most-watched film in India.

It was released on August 12, 2021, and it stars Sidharth as Indian army captain Vikram Batra.

Kiara Advani played Batra’s fiancee, Dimple Cheema.

The film received mixed reviews from critics but was enjoyed by audiences.

On August 31, 2021, Amazon Prime Video revealed that Shershaah had been watched by audiences in over 4,100 Indian towns and cities as well as in 210 countries and territories around the world.

The film, directed by Vishnuvardhan, also received a user rating of 8.9 on IMDb.

An “overwhelmed” Sidharth celebrated the film’s success on Instagram. He wrote:

“Overwhelmed with the love and appreciation that we are receiving for Shershaah. Thank you everyone for making it the most-watched film on @primevideoin.”

Kiara thanked her fans for the “love, respect and appreciation you have showered on us for Shershaah.”
