"brings people together over great food, great chai, and genuine hospitality,”
Chaii Stop has opened its newest café in Blackburn, bringing South Asian-inspired food, chai culture and community-focused dining to Lancashire.
The popular café brand launched its second Lancashire location in Whalley Range, following the success of its Preston branch.
Founded by Usman Hussain, Chaii Stop aims to create welcoming spaces where customers can enjoy food and cultural experiences.
The new 40-seater café is located at the former Drakes Dental Care site, opposite Cedar Street.
The venue has been transformed into a modern dining space featuring hot and cold drinks, breakfast dishes and street food options.
The Blackburn opening marks another milestone for Usman Hussain, who launched Chaii Stop with a vision of bringing people together.
He said: “I started Chaii Stop with one simple goal: to create a place that brings people together over great food, great chai, and genuine hospitality.”
The entrepreneur explained that the team designed the café concept themselves rather than using a franchise model.
This allowed them to maintain control over the brand’s identity and customer experience.
The Blackburn site took around three months to transform from a former dental practice into a vibrant café.
Chai has long been an important part of South Asian social culture and represents hospitality.
Across South Asian communities, cafés have become spaces where generations come together.
Modern chai cafés are now blending traditional flavours with modern designs and experiences.
Chaii Stop reflects this trend by combining familiar South Asian tastes with a modern café atmosphere.
The brand’s menu includes breakfast street food favourites and signature drinks designed for a diverse audience.
Chaii Stop has also gained attention through creative social media campaigns.
One of its viral campaigns encouraged customers to put their phones away during meals.
The “Phone Jail” initiative offered customers discounts when they locked away their phones while dining.
Usman said social media has played a major role in connecting the brand with customers.
He said: “We believe in showing the real side of running a business, celebrating our customers, supporting our community, and creating experiences people want to share.”
For Usman, Chaii Stop is more than a café.
Through initiatives like Blogger’s Day, the brand invites content creators to experience its cafés and connect with local communities.
The growth of Chaii Stop highlights the rising impact of British Asian entrepreneurs across the UK’s hospitality industry.
The Blackburn branch officially opens on July 24, 2026.
The new café adds to Blackburn’s diverse food scene, offering a modern space inspired by South Asian flavours and traditions.
