Deepika Padukone showed off two outfits as she made her debut at the Oscars.
The actress made a statement at the event and introduced the live performance of ‘Naatu Naatu‘, which went on to win ‘Best Original Song’.
And for the event, Deepika served vintage Hollywood glamour in an off-the-shoulder black Louis Vuitton gown.
The velvet gown featured a plunging design which accentuated her neckline.
It also featured draping on the arms, a fitted bust, corseted bodice, cinched torso and a mermaid-style pleated skirt grazing the floor.
The full-length sleeves came with attached opera gloves, a popular accessory among celebrities.
Deepika seemed to have been inspired by Audrey Hepburn as her hair was styled into a messy bun with a central parting.
In several pictures, she unveiled her new neck tattoo, which is inspired by her beauty brand.
For accessories, Deepika oozed class.
She opted for diamond jewels, including rings and a bracelet.
But the standout piece was Deepika’s yellow diamond Cartier necklace, which looked elegant against the champagne-coloured carpet.
Deepika’s makeup was equally as impressive, opting for winged eyeliner, nude pink lip shade, kohl-lined eyes, subtle nude eye shadow, feathered eyebrows, rouged cheeks and a dewy base.
As she introduced ‘Naatu Naatu’, Deepika said:
“An irresistibly catchy chorus, electrifying beats and killer dance moves to match have made this song a global sensation.
“It plays during a pivotal scene in RRR, a movie about the friendship between real-life Indian revolutionaries Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem.
“In addition to being sung in Telugu and illustrating the film’s anti-colonialist themes, it’s also a total banger.”
Deepika Padukone also set the Vanity Fair afterparty on fire as she switched to a pink feather dress.
Although it was completely different to the black gown, Deepika looked stunning.
The outfit featured a furry design and it was cinched at the waist with a black leather belt.
Deepika paired the look with black elbow-length gloves, black sheer stockings and black stilettos, adding a vintage touch to her contemporary outfit.
For jewellery, Deepika opted for Cartier once again, a brand she is an ambassador of.
Her brunette tresses were similar to her Oscars look, styled in a messy bun.
Wearing a dab of nude lipstick, Deepika amplified the glam look with dewy makeup, bold eye makeup, smoky eyes and winged liner.
The vibrant pink outfit was by New York City-based designer Naseem Khan, whose eponymous label boasts of ready-to-wear and bridal collections with the ethos of modern restraint and the craft of draping and cutting fabric to create a clean, elegant and timeless silhouette.
The pink dress was from Naeem Khan’s Resort 2022 collection and it originally cost approximately $10,000.
