"I’m currently under medical observation"
Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt was admitted to Lilavati Hospital after he suffered from low oxygen saturation levels and chest discomfort.
Dutt complained of this pain on Saturday, August 8, 2020, and was rushed to the intensive care unit.
The 61-year-old actor immediately underwent a rapid antigen test for Covid-19. He tested negative for the virus.
Later, on Saturday, August 8, 2020, an RT-PCR test was conducted on Dutt. Again, the actor tested negative for coronavirus.
According to Jaili Parkar, his treating doctor who himself recovered from the deadly virus in July 2020 confirmed Dutt will undergo more tests.
These tests will be carried out to assess why the actor’s oxygen level had decreased as well as his medical parameters.
Sanjay Dutt also took to Twitter to share the news of his health. He wrote:
“Just wanted to assure everyone that I’m doing well. I’m currently under medical observation & my COVID-19 report is negative.
“With the help & care of the doctors, nurses & staff at Lilavati hospital, I should be home in a day or two. Thank you for your well wishes & blessings.”

Lilavati Hospital’s Chief Operating Officer, Dr V Ravishankar also comment on Sanjay Dutt’s health saying, “He is stable.”
Sanjay Dutt’s fans are relieved he has tested negative for Covid-19 and hope he makes a speedy recovery.
A fan named Shamun Bubere on Twitter said: “Baba get well soon. INSHA ALLAH JALDI ACHE HO JAOGE TUM AMEEN.
“KOI KARE NA KARE MAI DUA KAR RAHA HU TUMHARE LIYE AMEEN.”
Another fan reassured Dutt that his prayers are with him saying:
“Kuch Nahi Hoga Baba. Humari Duaaein Hamesha Aapke Saath Hai.”
A third fan wrote: “That’s Good Sir, please take care [of] urself.”
Chiradeep Roy expressed his joy of Dutt testing negative for Covid-19. He said:
“Wow, that’s good news indeed. Wish you a speedy recovery.”
Recently, several reports of multiple actors having health issues have been doing the rounds.
In fact, legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan were taken to hospital last month (July 2020).
Shortly after the father-son duo was diagnosed with Covid-19, Aishwarya Rai and her daughter Aaradhya were also tested positive.
There is no doubt that the coronavirus caused havoc for the Bachchan family.
Despite not testing positive for Covid-19, Sanjay Dutt’s treatment is still ongoing. We wait to hear more news about his health.
