Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell’s fiancée, Vini Raman has reacted to a troll who called her out for loving a “white boy.”

The fiancée of Australian star cricketer Glenn Maxwell, Vini Raman, has hit back at a troll who mocked her for being in a relationship with a “white boy.”

Vini, who is of Indian origin was dating Maxwell for more than two years before he asked her to marry him in February 2020.

The cricketer announced the happy news on his Instagram account. He shared a picture of the loved-up couple which showed Vini’s stunning engagement ring.

Currently, Glenn Maxwell is playing for Kings XI Punjab in the 2020 Indian Premier League in the United Arab Emirates.

Vini took to her Instagram account to share a throwback picture of the couple.

In the picture, Maxwell and Vini are sporting sunglasses. The cricketer is wearing a blue jumper while Vini has donned a denim jacket.

She expressed her love for her fiancée and shared that she is missing him while he is busy playing cricket.

She captioned it:

“Spending another weekend in lockdown but wishing I was in the UAE. 4 weeks down, ? to go.”

Soon after she shared her post, the comment section was flooded with lovely messages from fans.

One user commented: “My Fav Couple.”

However, a social media troll commented on her post saying:

“Ditch the mentally troubled white boy @vini raman .. You don’t need to feel sorry for the poor dude .. Get an Indian guy you sell out.”

Reacting to the troll, Vini Raman wrote:

“So, I normally don’t respond to comments like these as I know trolls do it just to get attention.

“But a 6-month lockdown has left me with plenty of time to educate ignorant morons.

“Loving someone of different skin colour doesn’t make you a sell-out. Loving a white person doesn’t mean I’m embarrassed to be an Indian.

“Loving a white person is my choice and I shouldn’t have to worry about what others will think.”

Many people came out in support of Vini Raman after she responded to the troll. One user wrote:

“I am proud of you the way you replied to that person who was trolling you. And best of luck to your marriage.

“Please mam call me to your marriage. I am 13yrs old.”

Another user commented saying:

“Best couple ever, Just Ignore the Bad comments, love you forever.”

Vini also shared the screenshot of her conversation with the troll on her Instagram story for everyone to see.

In October 2019, Glenn Maxwell took an indefinite break from cricket after revealing his battle with mental health issues.

He made a return to the game for Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League 2019-20.
