Popular social media influencers Ducky Bhai and Aroob Jatoi were apprehended by the police in Lahore’s Model Town.
This was after the couple displayed firearms during one of their vlogs.
Their actions prompted immediate concern from authorities and the couple was taken into custody for questioning.
Ducky and his wife faced accusations not only for their weapon display but also for allegedly raising anti-government slogans.
According to reports, they were supporting the widespread protests occurring across Pakistan.
Ducky and Aroob were released after removing the controversial content, and no formal charges were filed against them.
Both Ducky Bhai and Aroob Jatoi issued written apologies to the authorities, which facilitated their swift release from prison.
However, they have not made any official statements addressing the incident.
Public reaction to their arrest was mixed. Many netizens applauded the police for their prompt action, labelling the couple’s behaviour unacceptable.
A user wrote: “If this is true then this is a good action. What they are doing to society is not acceptable at all.”
One said: “They should be arrested just not for showing weapons but for damaging our society and exploiting our youth by making useless content.”
Another commented: “What a relief. Respect for the police. Please don’t release people like them, arrest such individuals.”
Interestingly, some social media users speculated that Ducky and Aroob’s troubles stemmed from their promotion of “Qaidi Number 804.”
This is a reference to former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is currently in jail.
An online clip showed Ducky visiting a friend’s home, turning up in a car with a registration plate that read ‘804’.
Ducky and Aroob’s arrest comes shortly after the arrest of TikTok star Nadeem NaniWala.
Nadeem was detained for having a number plate labelled ‘IK 804.’
In addition to this controversy, Ducky Bhai is making headlines for his recent vlog titled Meeting with my Idol, featuring Dr Zakir Naik.
In the video, Ducky expressed his admiration for Dr Naik, calling him one of his favourite people. However, Dr Naik appeared taken aback by his comments.
At a gathering at the Governor’s House, he revealed that a YouTuber had told him he admired three people greatly.
This included Dr Naik himself, Shah Rukh Khan, and Virat Kohli.
Dr Naik, an Islamic scholar, expressed his surprise at being placed alongside such figures, asking:
“I was placed alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Virat Kohli?”
This unexpected criticism only adds to Ducky Bhai’s already eventful week.
