Tamil television actor Anandhi Ajay broke down in tears after discovering her scenes had been removed from Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan.
The emotional video has gone viral on social media, drawing an enormous wave of sympathy and support from fans online.
In the clip, Anandhi speaks in Tamil about losing what she had long believed would be a defining moment in her career.
She revealed that she had been associated with the film for nearly a full year before learning about the devastating edit.
Anandhi said she was heartbroken after finding out that her portions had been completely cut from the film’s final theatrical version.
She also expressed deep sadness at the possibility that she might never again have the chance to work alongside Vijay.
Jana Nayagan is widely expected to be Vijay’s final film before he transitions fully and permanently into a political career.
The loss of her role therefore carries an extra layer of pain, as the opportunity may never present itself again.
The video drew an enormous outpouring of support from social media users who flooded the comments section with encouraging messages.

Anandhi has built a steady and respected career in Tamil television through roles in several well-known shows over the years.
She has appeared in Karthigai Pengal, Yamuna, Kana Kaanum Kaalangal and Kallikattu Pallikoodam among other productions.
Beyond acting, she is also a trained classical dancer who has participated in reality shows including Dance Jodi Dance 3.0.
She has also featured in Jodi No. 1 Seasons 6 and 7 and Maanada Mayilada Season 7.
Jana Nayagan itself opened to strong numbers at the box office on day one.
According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the film earned an estimated Rs 41 crore nett in India across 13,067 shows on opening day.
Its India gross stood at Rs 48.27 crore while overseas collections of approximately Rs 30 crore pushed the worldwide gross to Rs 78.27 crore.
The Tamil version contributed the largest share of collections with Rs 36.5 crore on the film’s opening day nationwide.
The Telugu version added Rs 2.75 crore while the Hindi version contributed a further Rs 1.75 crore to the overall tally.
Despite these impressive figures, the film fell short of the opening day collections recorded by Vijay’s previous major blockbusters.
Beast had opened at Rs 49.3 crore while The Greatest of All Time had collected Rs 44 crore on its first day in cinemas.
