Renowned Bangladeshi actor Ziaul Faruq Apurba is set to make his much-anticipated debut in Tollywood with the upcoming film Chalchitra.

Directed by Pratim D Gupta, the film is set to hit theatres on December 20, 2024.

The recently unveiled poster has provided audiences with a glimpse into Apurba’s intriguing character, sparking curiosity and excitement.

The poster reveals Apurba sporting a rugged look with a stubble beard, and a bruise near his right eye.

A caption accompanying his poster teased his significance in the story:

“His name might be unknown, yet catching a killer without his assistance is impossible.”

The plot of Chalchitra revolves around a series of gruesome murders involving young women in Kolkata during preparation for the Christmas festivities.

The killings unsettle the community, prompting the Kolkata Police to launch an investigation.

Their probe leads them to uncover chilling connections to an unresolved case from over 10 years ago.

Apurba’s character appears to play a key role in unravelling the sinister secrets behind the crimes.

In an earlier character reveal, Apurba was seen dressed in a vibrant red kurta, with a contemplative expression.

While the actor has refrained from sharing any details about his role, he urged audiences to experience the film to uncover the mystery.

The film features an ensemble cast, including Tota Roy Chowdhury, Raima Sen, Anirban Chakrabarti, Bratya Basu, and Shantanu Maheshwari.

A teaser released in October 2024 offered a thrilling preview, leaving audiences eager for more.

Previously, Apurba reflected on his experience working in Kolkata, sharing his admiration for the city and its people.

The actor remarked: “It was a memorable journey, one that will always stay with me.”

He praised the warmth and respect he received during his time there, adding:

“As an artist, I’ll forever cherish the memories of my experience in Kolkata.”

When asked about what drew him to the project, Apurba attributed it to the film’s gripping narrative.

He explained: “The storyline of Chalchitra held the greatest allure for me.

“Bengali audiences have a deep affection for storytelling, and I, too, fell in love with the narrative.

“It features extraordinary characters and offers a distinctive thrill.”

With its compelling plot, talented cast, and the promise of a riveting cinematic experience, Chalchitra is poised to captivate audiences this December.
