"Blessed to cradle this purest of all dreams"
Dia Mirza has announced that she is expecting her first child with husband Vaibhav Rekhi.
The pregnancy comes just over a month after the couple got married.
She took to Instagram and shared a picture of herself flaunting her baby bump.
The picture was taken in the Maldives, where Dia went for her honeymoon.
She was seen wearing a red floral print kaftan while cradling her baby bump. She also looked into the distance while a calming sunset was seen in the background.
Dia kept her look simple by ditching any accessories and makeup.
Alongside the photo was a heartwarming poem. It read:
“Blessed to be… one with Mother Earth… one with the life force that is the beginning of everything… of all stories.
“Lullabies. Songs. Of new saplings. And the blossoming of hope.
“Blessed to cradle this purest of all dreams in my womb.”
Following her pregnancy announcement, a wave of Bollywood celebrities sent messages of congratulations to the actress.

Dia was previously married to Sahil Sangha while Vaibhav has a daughter from a previous marriage.
Since the end of February 2021, Dia, Vaibhav and his daughter have been in the Maldives.
Dia had previously shared pictures and videos of them watching dolphins, and said that the joy they felt was beyond words.
