Vacancy description:

Provides technical support for new and existing technologies in collaboration with other technical and management stakeholders.

Provides continuous evaluation of the UC infrastructure and initiate expansion or remediation projects to support growth and mitigate risks of our contractually serviced customer base.

To analyse, evaluate and diagnose complex technical systems and network problems in a minimum period of time. To provide expert level technical support for hardware and/or software products interfacing with various personnel in the definition and resolution of problems. The work will involve implementing new technologies and procedures and integration and configuration work and/ or responding to complex client problems. All tasks should be completed in line with company technical and quality standards and procedures and to provide a high degree of customer satisfaction with excellent communication skills.

Main role / Responsibilities: [will include but not be limited to]:

To attend/remotely handle all Incidents as directed by the Customer Incident Centre in a courteous and customer focused fashion.
Assist with upgrade projects either remotely or at customer location to gain experience to complete independently
Assists with new installations to gain experience to complete independently
Assigned incidents are monitored, updated and progressed in a timely manner
Demonstrate technical support knowledge and/or assist in the analysis and definition of hardware and/or software related problems “on site” or via “remote session”.

Retain call ownership throughout the problem resolution process on critical system problems and assigned incidents
Co-ordinates between clients and vendors to ensure timely resolution of problems.
Provide a high degree of customer satisfaction in all work undertaken
Upon reaching suitable technical ability be part of an on-call rota and commit to a reasonable amount of overtime.
Track and document problems ‘by status utilising established problem tracking and reporting systems.
Support the Service Delivery Team in fulfilling management activities as delegated. These may include attending meetings, and performing support functions i.e. Develop and conduct on – the- job training and formal seminars.

Desired Qualifications

5 GCSE’s total

English and Maths GCSE grade D or above
3x GCSEs grade A – C in any subject

Working week:

Monday – Friday,

9am – 5pm.

Salary: £16,000 per annum.

QA’s apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.

To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
