Camden High Street Dental Practice

Job Summary

We are a busy (newly opened) Private Dental Practice in Wimpole Street and we are looking for a full time dental nurse to join our friendly team.

The right candidate must have at least 2 years NHS/Private practice experience and GDC registered. The knowledge of SOE is a must.

You will need to be well-presented, enthusiastic, a team player and highly motivated. We need someone with a cheerful, mature disposition who is flexible and proactive. Apart from working in a team, this person must be comfortable working unsupervised on some occasions. The ability to communicate effectively on all levels is imperative for this role. Candidates must also be able to multi-task.

Invisalign knowledge highly preferable.

The hours will be Monday to Friday. Must be flexible with hours.

The successful candidate will also be required to work at our sister practice. 

Salary starts from £28,000 to £32,000 depending on experience, expertise and knowledge. The contract is based on 40 hours per week.

Requirements:

  • Appointment to this position is subject to satisfactory DBS checks, Hep B and relevant vaccines, assessment of qualification certificates & references.
  • Be fully Qualified and hold current GDC registration
  • You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills – you will form part of our clinical team and lead by example

Your role:

  • Provide clinical chair-side support to dentists
  • Update patient records
  • Set up decontamination of instruments
  • Train junior staff and trainee dental nurse
  • Scanning using digital scanners, Photography and impression taking (training can be provided)
  • Treatment Coordination
  • Comply with all health and safety rules and guidance, including PPE, COSHH, mercury handling, infection control, waste disposal etc
  • Ensure adequate stocks of materials and other items
  • Work very closely with the practice manager and principals to develop the practice and gain key experience within a rapidly expanding private practice
  • Creating an enjoyable working environment for the team
  • Assisting Practice manager with iComply, CQC and compliance duties
  • Undertake audits
  • Assisting in planning and running practice events, marketing campaigns and open days
  • Assisting to fulfil Practice’s Concierge Service and improving Patient care and journey
  • Management of invoices and petty cash
  • Liaising with practice suppliers, labs and contractors
  • Undertake Reception and administrative duties
  • Personable, positive and enthusiastic with a great customer focus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Provide excellent patient care
  • Have a keen eye for detail
  • Be self-motivated
