About the school:

You will be joining a slightly smaller than average secondary school in a nice area just off the M40, 15 minutes from the M25. The school’s students benefit from the excellent pastoral care that smaller schools can often offer, allowing students, staff and parents to all work to ensure that the students in their school achieve the best possible outcomes they deserve. The school has made rapid improvements in recent years and this improvement has continued since the school joined a reputable academy trust.

On joining this school, you will become part of a growing network of partner schools where you will have a variety of opportunities to develop. The trust’s excellent training is bespoke and includes courses and regional training days where you get to work with the many outstanding practitioners across their network while improving the outcomes and opportunities for all the students in the school.

The successful trainee teacher will:

• Be fully committed to a career as a Maths Teacher
• Have a love of Maths and have the required enthusiasm and energy needed to motivate and inspire the minds of the next generation
• Be able to cultivate a positive learning environment where students feel supported and determined to develop their understanding of Maths
• Believe in high aspirations for all students; having the patience to encourage students who are not on-track to achieve their target grades and the expert subject knowledge needed to extend the learning of the highest-achieving students
• Have high standards for yourself and your students with the desire to develop into an outstanding Maths teacher in the future
• In time, be able to design and deliver engaging and purposeful Maths lessons to whole classes of up to 30 students

You will also:
