The Client:

A multi-faceted organisation with chips on many tables, this leading interiors contractor can boast a diverse workload that extends from specialist dry lining and SFS packages through to new build finishing trades, turnkey social housing refurbishment services and external renders / facades.

Due to a serious growth curve following the pandemic, an opportunity has been created for a Junior Estimator to join the team to help support high tender demand.

The Role:

Working underneath experienced Senior Estimators, you’ll be tasked initially with supporting the tender and bid process in full, assisting in the procurement of sub-contract prices, paperwork and client liaison.

As you progress, you’ll be introduced to measuring and pricing your own tenders and as your development continues, you’ll begin to take on your own tender workload, pricing sizeable works for a raft of blue-chip main contract and development clients.

Responsibilities:

– Support tender activity including pricing, preparation and submission.

– Obtain best value sub-contract and supplier prices

– Compiling sub-contract orders, and their subsequent issuing to contractors

– Preparing breakdowns of build costs for each stage of work

– Liaise with clients to ensure all information is to hand to be able to price effectively

Qualifications & Experience:

 – Degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification.

 – 1 years + previous experience within dry lining is a major advantage.

 – You’ll ideally be situated locally to East London, in particular the Romford area.
