Habiba Desai - DESIblitz Literature Festival
Habiba Desai is the co-founder and publishing and partnerships director of Fox & Windmill Books, an independent publisher for British South Asian writers.
She has a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Huddersfield. Habiba has worked in various sectors of the literary industry from the Bradford Literature Festival, Waterstones and Penguin Random House. She currently sits on the Northern Advisory Board for First Story.

Fox & Windmill is an independent publisher based in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
The publisher specialises in publishing fantasy, science fiction, young adult and literary fiction by South Asian authors.
Since launching in 2021, Fox & Windmill has been shortlisted for The Bookseller FutureBook Awards and the British Muslim Awards. The company has been recognised as the UK’s first independent publishing company for South Asian writers.
