Salma Zaman is a highly acclaimed and multinominated award-winning author renowned for her inclusive and diverse collection of children’s books, a qualified and a trained dance and drama teacher who embeds SEND strategies within her teaching and learning workshops. Salma works with literature festivals, libraries, museums, and schools, where she delivers workshops in creative dance, literacy workshops and makes author visits.  

Salma’s literary creations include the enchanting tales of ‘Bollywood Princess,’ the heartwarming story of ‘Greedy Gertie,’ the humorous adventures of ‘Sally and her Super Snot,’ the playful escapades of ‘Florence and her Fantastic Farts,’ the space exploration and missing socks of ‘Henry and his Horrendous Hiccups’.

Beyond her literary accomplishments, Salma is the visionary founder and artistic director of Salma’s Bollywood Academy. Her artistic endeavours have graced the screens of Coronation Street, BBC1, BBC2, BBC3, ITV and Channel 4. Salma’s choreographic talents have been showcased for Bollywood stars, and she has left her mark on Donny Osmond’s show ‘Identity.’ Recognised for her outstanding contributions to the arts industry, Salma was honoured with the prestigious title of ‘Yorkshire Woman of Achievement Awards.’ Adding to her accolades, Salma’s Bollywood Academy has been distinguished with titles such as the ‘Best Dancing School’ and the ‘Best Inclusive Dancing School’ for Yorkshire and Humberside. Salma’s passion for storytelling, dance, and inclusivity has left an indelible mark on the arts landscape, making her a true luminary in her field.
