Are you an experienced Buyer with a background in engineering or manufacturing procurement? A well-established engineering company based in Crawley is looking for a Procurement Buyer to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for a procurement professional who understands technical specifications, supplier management, and the pressures of a busy engineering supply chain.

The Role:

• Sourcing and purchasing components, materials, and services to support production/engineering requirements
• Negotiating pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers
• Managing supplier relationships and monitoring performance (quality, delivery, cost)
• Processing purchase orders and maintaining accurate procurement records
• Working closely with engineering, production, and stores teams to ensure stock availability
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or lead time
• Resolving supply chain issues and delivery delays proactively

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in a procurement/buying role within an engineering, manufacturing, or technical environment
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
• Ability to read technical drawings/specifications (desirable)
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems for purchasing
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Confident communicator, able to liaise across departments

What’s On Offer:

• Salary: £30,000 – £35,000
