Major Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for a Temporary Manufacturing Operative to join their friendly and supportive team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a practical, hands-on approach who enjoys working in a busy manufacturing environment. You’ll be involved in a variety of tasks, making every day different while supporting the production of high-quality electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating copper cutting and punching equipment.
• Mechanical assembly of LV switchgear.
• Measuring, cutting and preparing materials accurately.
• Using hand tools and circular saws safely and effectively.
• Supporting the wider production team with additional manufacturing duties as required.
• Following all health and safety procedures at all times.

What We’re Looking For

• An interest in mechanical assembly and manufacturing.
• Confident using a circular saw.
• Ability to measure and cut materials with precision.
• Experience using hand tools and assembly techniques.
• A strong awareness of workplace health and safety.
• Reliable, hardworking and willing to work overtime during the week and most Saturday mornings when required.

What’s on Offer

• £13.00 per hour.
• Additional £2.00 per hour for overtime.
• Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm.
• Friday: 7:00am – 1:30pm.
• Overtime available.
