Specializing in maintenance, refurbishment, new-build construction, roofing, and building envelope solutions, the business provides comprehensive services to public and private sector clients, from consultation and design through to installation and maintenance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Roles\/Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare detailed cost estimates for cladding, fa\u00e7ade, roofing, rainscreen, insulated panel, and associated building envelope works.<\/li>\n<li>Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, schedules, and employer&#8217;s requirements to establish project scope.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out accurate quantity take-offs and measurements using drawings, specifications, and digital models where applicable.<\/li>\n<li>Obtain, review, and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare tender submissions, pricing schedules, cost breakdowns, clarifications, and value engineering proposals.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with clients, main contractors, architects, consultants, suppliers, and internal project teams.<\/li>\n<li>Identify commercial risks, exclusions, assumptions, and cost-saving opportunities within tender packages.<\/li>\n<li>Support handover meetings for successful tenders and provide clear cost information to project delivery teams.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain estimating records, supplier rates, pricing databases, and historical project cost information.<\/li>\n<li>Keep up to date with cladding systems, materials, compliance requirements, market rates, and industry best practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous experience in estimating within cladding, fa\u00e7ades, roofing, curtain walling, rainscreen, or specialist subcontracting.<\/li>\n<li>Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and fa\u00e7ade drawings.<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of cladding systems, fixings, interfaces, access requirements, logistics, and construction sequencing.<\/li>\n<li>Strong commercial awareness and the ability to prepare accurate, competitive estimates.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating or quantity take-off software.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.<\/li>\n<li>High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet tender deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively with commercial and project delivery teams.<\/li>\n<li>A qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building Surveying, Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a related discipline is desirable;
