With the continued growth and recent expansion into a new Warehouse they are looking to strengthen the team with a commercially minded and organised individual who is keen to develop their career within a growing business.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a Commercial Operations Assistant you will work closely with management and support the commercial and operational side of the business.<\/p>\n<p>This is a varied role that would suit a recent university graduate or someone early in their career who is commercially aware, confident working with numbers and interested in understanding how a business operates.<\/p>\n<p>You will have responsibility for a range of commercial and administrative tasks, including obtaining and preparing quotations, monitoring stock pricing, checking company expenses and assisting with the processing and approval of supplier invoices.<\/p>\n<p>As you develop within the role, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibility and become an important part of the wider commercial operation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preparing and obtaining supplier and customer quotations<\/p>\n<p>Checking and maintaining current stock pricing<\/p>\n<p>Comparing supplier prices and identifying cost-saving opportunities<\/p>\n<p>Assisting with purchasing and supplier negotiations<\/p>\n<p>Checking company expenses and supporting expense approval<\/p>\n<p>Checking supplier invoices against agreed pricing and purchasesPreparing documentation for management approval\/sign-off<\/p>\n<p>Maintaining accurate commercial and pricing records<\/p>\n<p>Liaising with suppliers, customers and internal departmentsAssisting management with commercial reports and analysis<\/p>\n<p>Monitoring outstanding quotations and following these up where required<\/p>\n<p>Supporting stock and purchasing administrationIdentifying discrepancies in pricing, invoices or stock information<\/p>\n<p>Providing general commercial and administrative support to managementTaking on additional responsibilities as the role develops<\/p>\n<p><strong>About You<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are looking for someone who is:<\/p>\n<p>A recent university graduate or has relevant commercial\/administrative experience<\/p>\n<p>Commercially minded and interested in how a business operates<\/p>\n<p>Confident working with figures and spreadsheets<\/p>\n<p>Able to work independently and use initiative<\/p>\n<p>Highly organised with excellent attention to detail<\/p>\n<p>Comfortable communicating with suppliers, customers and colleagues<\/p>\n<p>Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications<\/p>\n<p>Naturally inquisitive and willing to learn<\/p>\n<p>Professional, reliable and commercially aware<\/p>\n<p>Looking for a long-term opportunity rather than simply an entry-level administrative position<\/p>\n<p>A degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Supply Chain, Management or
