That matters here. You won&#039;t be working in a tax silo. You&#039;ll sit alongside wealth planners and lawyers who look after the same families, so the advice is joined up and clients tend to stay for the long haul.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE ROLE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is a compliance-led Tax Manager role with your own portfolio of high net worth clients. You&#039;ll review and manage returns, keep a firm grip on deadlines, and be the person HMRC deals with when something needs sorting. There&#039;s some advisory project work too, but the heart of the job is making sure complex compliance is done properly and clients get excellent service.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHAT YOU&#039;LL BE DOING<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Managing a portfolio of HNW personal tax clients and owning those relationships<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing returns to a high standard and spotting the issues others might miss<\/li>\n<li>Leading on HMRC correspondence and enquiries<\/li>\n<li>Developing junior team members through review, feedback and coaching<\/li>\n<li>Working closely with the wealth team on shared clients<\/li>\n<li>Picking up ad hoc advisory projects alongside senior management<\/li>\n<li>Keeping an eye on time, billing and recovery across your portfolio<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>WHO THIS WILL SUIT<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CTA qualified or part-qualified, plus ATT<\/li>\n<li>At least five years in personal tax, ideally with HNW clients<\/li>\n<li>Confident reviewing complex returns and running your own client list<\/li>\n<li>Able to explain technical points clearly, to clients and juniors alike<\/li>\n<li>CCH experience is a bonus, as is an interest in AI-enabled tax tools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>WHY IT&#039;S WORTH A CONVERSATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hybrid working, so you can balance office time with focused days at home<\/li>\n<li>A multi-disciplinary setup, so your clients get joined-up advice and you get broader exposure<\/li>\n<li>A role that values your review and people skills as much as your technical knowledge<\/li>\n<li>A route into advisory work alongside the compliance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>GET IN TOUCH<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The firm is expecting a strong response and may close the vacancy early.
