About the Role<\/p>\n
As a Learning Support Assistant with a training provider, you’ll support learners with additional learning needs within a construction academy setting. This is a unique part-time role, two days a week on a fixed-term basis, where your work will have a genuine impact on the learners you support.<\/p>\n
Working Days & Times <\/strong><\/p>\n Wednesday 9:00-16:30<\/p>\n Thursday 9:00-16:30<\/p>\n You’ll draw on your knowledge and experience of working with young people with Special Educational Needs and\/or Disability (SEND) to help learners engage, progress and build confidence in their chosen profession. Working within a passionate and dedicated team, you’ll help transform lives through learning.<\/p>\n Your responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n Supporting learners with additional learning needs to access and engage with their programme.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Working closely with learners who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Helping to create a calm, inclusive and supportive learning environment.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Assisting learners to develop the skills and confidence to succeed in their chosen profession.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n What We’re Looking For<\/p>\n Essential:<\/strong><\/p>\n Experience of supporting learners with additional learning needs in FE<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Knowledge and experience of working with young people with Special Educational Needs and\/or Disability (SEND)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Experience of supporting learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n A calm and patient attitude<\/p>\n<\/li>\n A genuine passion for making a real difference to young people<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n About You<\/p>\n We’re looking for someone who:<\/p>\n Is committed to helping learners with additional needs achieve success<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Can build positive, supportive relationships with young people<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Understands the different social, cultural and physical needs of learners<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Brings patience, empathy and a genuine desire to see learners progress<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n If you’re ready to make a real difference to young people with additional learning needs, we’d love to hear from you.
