The role will also involve supporting lower-attaining children in accessing the curriculum and making progress in their learning.<\/p>\n<p>They are looking for someone who is patient, caring, resilient, and committed to helping every child achieve their potential. Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Role:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.<\/li>\n<li>Support low-attaining children to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.<\/li>\n<li>Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing through consistent support and intervention.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with teachers and SEND staff to implement individual support strategies and monitor progress.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Ideal Candidate:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience working with primary-aged children, particularly those with special educational needs.<\/li>\n<li>Patient, caring, and resilient, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of ASD, ADHD, and behaviour management approaches.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).<\/li>\n<li>Right to work in the UK.<\/li>\n<li>Relevant professional references.<\/li>\n<li>Previous SEND experience is desirable but not essential.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Safeguarding Statement:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Classroom Support is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
