This is not a standard residential childcare role. Candidates need to be comfortable supporting a young person in crisis and working within a highly consistent team approach, including deprivation-of-liberty arrangements where applicable. The care model focuses on: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Therapeutic parenting.<\/li>\n<li>Trauma-informed and relationship-based practice.<\/li>\n<li>Clear and consistent boundaries.<\/li>\n<li>Long-term relationship building.<\/li>\n<li>Calm and structured responses to challenging situations.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding that progress may be gradual rather than immediate.<\/li>\n<li>Consistency between every member of the staff team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> The service currently operates around a 3:1 staffing model, requiring three members of staff across the day and three overnight, alongside contingency cover.<br \/> &nbsp;<br \/> <strong>Who Are They Looking For?<\/strong><br \/> &nbsp;<br \/> We need experienced, resilient and emotionally mature Support Workers who are comfortable working with young people presenting complex and potentially high-risk behaviours.<br \/> This role will suit candidates who have worked in: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Children&#8217;s residential care.<\/li>\n<li>Complex-needs services.<\/li>\n<li>Crisis-support environments.<\/li>\n<li>High-risk residential settings.<\/li>\n<li>Services supporting challenging behaviours.<\/li>\n<li>Therapeutic or trauma-informed environments.<\/li>\n<li>Other closely related specialist settings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> &nbsp;<br \/> <strong>Qualifications &amp; Compliance<\/strong><br \/> &nbsp;<br \/> Level 3 in Children and Young People&#8217;s Workforce \/ Residential Childcare is preferred.<br \/> However, we do not automatically reject candidates without Level 3.<br \/> Candidates can be considered if they: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Already hold Level 3;<\/li>\n<li>Are currently working towards Level 3; or<\/li>\n<li>Are willing to undertake Level 3.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> &nbsp;<br \/> <strong>Hours and Salary<\/strong> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>9:00am &#8211; 9:00pm<\/li>\n<li>12-hour shifts<\/li>\n<li>36 hours per week<\/li>\n<li>&pound;16.50 per hour<\/li>\n<li>&pound;30,888 annual salary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> &nbsp;<br \/> <strong>How to Apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please email your application<strong>&nbsp;(url removed)&nbsp;<\/strong>or apply via the link provided.
