The Nursery Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and day-to-day running of the school&#039;s nursery provision. The role ensures a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children aged 2-4 years can learn and develop in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, while supporting the school&#039;s ethos and values.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What you will be doing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Key Responsibilities<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and manage the nursery team, fostering a positive and professional working environment<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, including staffing, rotas, and ratios<\/li>\n<li>Ensure full compliance with EYFS, safeguarding requirements, and relevant regulatory standards<\/li>\n<li>Deliver a high-quality, play-based curriculum aligned with EYFS principles<\/li>\n<li>Monitor children&#039;s development, including planning, assessment, and progress tracking<\/li>\n<li>Promote inclusive practice and support children with additional needs<\/li>\n<li>Maintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and safeguarding at all times<\/li>\n<li>Manage nursery resources, equipment, and budget effectively<\/li>\n<li>Build strong relationships with parents and provide regular updates on children&#039;s progress<\/li>\n<li>Lead parent meetings, reports, and nursery events<\/li>\n<li>Support transitions into Reception and collaborate with wider school staff<\/li>\n<li>\nContribute to inspections, school initiatives, and the wider life of the school\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What you&#039;ll bring<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Qualifications<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Level 3 Early Years qualification (minimum)<\/li>\n<li>Level 5 or 6 qualification (desirable)<\/li>\n<li>Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to obtain)<\/li>\n<li>Safeguarding training (DSL training desirable)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Skills<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong leadership and team management skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organisational and time management abilities<\/li>\n<li>Clear and confident communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to build positive relationships with parents, staff, and external partners<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare practices<\/li>\n<li>Ability to inspire, motivate, and support both staff and children<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Experience<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Significant experience working within an early years setting<\/li>\n<li>Proven leadership or supervisory experience<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and Ofsted expectations<\/li>\n<li>Experience in a school-based or independent nursery setting (desirable)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Why Join Quinton House School? <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A welcoming, supportive culture where both staff and students are known as individuals<\/li>\n<li>Small class sizes allowing meaningful connections and impactful teaching<\/li>\n<li>Beautiful surroundings paired with modern resources<\/li>\n<li>Strong academic outcomes and ambitious further\u2011education pathways<\/li>\n<li>A broad co\u2011curricular programme designed to inspire and extend learning<\/li>\n<li>A collaborative staff body that values creativity, innovation and shared success<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please submit your application form and supporting statement via our recruitment portal.<\/p>\n<p><em>Early applications are encouraged as we may invite strong candidates to interview before the closing date.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Quinton House School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
