We’re recruiting Teaching Assistants to work in specialist education settings supporting children and young people with complex learning needs, communication difficulties and additional needs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n It’s a practical, hands-on role. You’ll spend your day working closely with pupils, helping them access learning, communicate their needs, develop independence and manage situations they may find difficult.<\/p>\n What does the role involve?<\/p>\n You’ll work alongside teachers and experienced support staff, with responsibilities including:<\/p>\n Who could this suit?<\/p>\n Previous SEN experience is valuable, but we’re open to different backgrounds.<\/p>\n You might already be a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant<\/strong>, or you could have experience in care, support work, healthcare, youth work or residential services<\/strong> and be interested in moving into education.<\/p>\n More than anything, we’re looking for people who are dependable, patient and comfortable working in an environment where no two pupils – or days – are quite the same.<\/strong><\/p>\n Role details<\/p>\n Pay:<\/strong> £14.25–£15.38 per hour We’re particularly interested in applicants based around Basildon, Wickford, Billericay, Benfleet and the surrounding areas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n If this sounds like the sort of work you’d be good at, apply with your CV and we’ll give you a call to talk through the opportunities available.<\/strong><\/p>\n Successful applicants will be subject to the relevant safer recruitment checks, including references, right-to-work and enhanced DBS requirements.<\/p>\n All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
