{"id":61486,"date":"2026-07-15T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-07-14T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.desiblitz.com\/jobs\/job\/lab-technician\/"},"modified":"2026-07-15T19:08:03","modified_gmt":"2026-07-15T18:08:03","slug":"lab-technician","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/www.desiblitz.com\/jobs\/job\/lab-technician\/","title":{"rendered":"Lab Technician"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Starting off on days for training this will move to a shift pattern which is a mixture of DAYS and NIGHTS, working from Monday to Thursday depending on business needs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>6.30am starts, so must be able to reach Reading for early starts.<\/p>\n<p>This is an administrative role providing daily support to the Lab Team in Chemistry Lab and the Quality Department. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is able to follow standard work processes unaided. The successful candidate possesses a high level of accuracy and eye for detail as well as good organisation and time-management skills. Of advantage is previous work experience in a Lab environment, good understanding of GMP practices and willingness to comply with PPE standards (e.g. Lab coat, safety glasses, gloves)<\/p>\n<p> <strong>Examples of tasks that can be expected:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Simple analytical testing in the Chemistry Lab such as odour, density and texture (separate training will be provided)<\/li>\n<li>Moving equipment\/consumables\/documents from Archive<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining 5S standards in both Labs, including tidying up, cleaning of surfaces in Lab and organising files and cupboards<\/li>\n<li>Moving finished product samples to the retain archive with the help of a trolley and filing the samples<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining a list of consumables\/equipment needed<\/li>\n<li>Waste disposal &#8211; Chemistry<\/li>\n<li>Dishwasher (filling\/emptying) for Lab glassware<\/li>\n<li>Creating labels for raw material and Finished Product samples<\/li>\n<li>Cleaning and maintenance of Lab instruments (specific training will be provided) following a daily\/weekly schedule<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please only apply if happy to work shifts as above.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Adecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
