Zenith are looking to recruit a\u00a0Geospatial Apprenticeship Trainer.\u00a0 The role is to deliver high-quality teaching and learning for the Level 3 Geospatial Survey Technician apprenticeship, both face-to-face and remotely. Manage a caseload of learners and employers, ensuring timely achievement and progression. Support the raising of standards in line with Zenith\u2019s strategic objectives and the technical demands of the geospatial sector..\u00a0<\/p>\n
Role responsibilities and requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n To deliver high quality teaching and learning sessions that will stimulate learning appropriate to learner needs covering topics including:<\/p>\n – Use of GNSS, total stations, and laser scanners<\/p>\n – Data collection, processing, and geospatial software (e.g. AutoCAD, GIS)<\/p>\n – Health & safety in field environments<\/p>\n – Mapping, cartography, and spatial data interpretation<\/p>\n – Data accuracy and validation<\/p>\n – Site preparation and equipment calibration<\/p>\n – Understanding of geospatial ethics and data security<\/p>\n Promote Maths and English in context (e.g. coordinate systems, scale, measurement conversions).<\/p>\n Liaise with employers at reviews on the development of training programmes to satisfy employer requirements and add value to learners.<\/p>\n Monitor learner progress to ensure learning continues and learners achieve in a timely manner.<\/p>\n Support the achievement of KPI\u2019s, business performance, and contractual targets for learner retention and success rates.<\/p>\n Ensure compliance with awarding body and Ofsted requirements, including IQA and audit readiness.<\/p>\n Act on feedback from teaching observations, employers, peers, or other review processes.<\/p>\n Provide impartial advice and guidance on career progression within the geospatial sector (e.g. moving into GIS analysis, land surveying, or civil engineering roles).<\/p>\n Promote Safeguarding, Prevent, British Values, and EDI in all sessions.<\/p>\n Maintain up-to-date knowledge of geospatial technologies and industry developments (e.g. drone surveying, BIM integration).<\/p>\n Attend monthly caseload reviews and contribute to internal and external audits.<\/p>\n Deliver commercial or CPD training in geospatial topics if required.<\/p>\n Provide a high level of customer service to all learners and parties contacting the business.<\/p>\n Have experience delivering vocational qualifications to groups of learners and individuals from a range of backgrounds.<\/p>\n Ensuring learners\u2019 work is marked in a timely manner (weekly)<\/p>\n Design and deliver core skills and any fundable or commercial training as and when required.<\/p>\n Hold a full teaching qualification – PGCE, PCET, DTLLS Recognised Assessor award: D32\/D33, A1, TAQA or CAVAIndustry experience in land surveying, geospatial data collection, or mapping technologies.<\/p>\n Be proficient in AutoCAD, GIS software, and surveying equipment.<\/p>\n Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally at all levels.<\/p>\n Experience of unsupervised working and using own initiative.<\/p>\n Experience of online learning and assessment platforms.<\/p>\n The ability to work in a target orientated environment and achieve required measures of success and quality.<\/p>\n Understand different learning styles\/needs and how to differentiate through various teaching methods.<\/p>\n Be able to motivate self and learners.<\/p>\n Be willing to work flexible hours and locations as required, be committed and enthusiastic.<\/p>\n Excellent organisational, IT and administrative skillsFull, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle must be flexible with travel.
