Their work includes providing people with a range of support and services to help them overcome barriers associated with age, homelessness, disability or health.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Our client is currently recruiting for a Support Worker, to work in <strong>the Guildford<\/strong> area at a service providing support to <strong>individuals with complex needs. <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>37.5 hours per week<\/li>\n<li>Monday \u2013 Sunday on a rota basis<\/li>\n<li>Shifts: early (07:15-16:15), late (12:15-20:15) and long (08:00-20:00)<\/li>\n<li>Temporary: approx. 2 months<\/li>\n<li>\u00a315.26 per hour (\u00a313.62 plus \u00a31.64 holiday pay)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deliver regular planned reviews of support and risk plans, resulting in support plans<\/li>\n<li>Support residents with daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, budgeting, personal care)<\/li>\n<li>Manage crisis situations, relapse and behavioural challenges using de-escalation techniques<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate support with external agencies and attend and contribute to multi-agency and safeguarding meetings<\/li>\n<li>Advocate for residents and support them to attend external appointments<\/li>\n<li>Support move-on pathways into sustainable accommodation<\/li>\n<li>Support residents to maintain tenancies and understand occupancy agreements, manage rent, service charges and arrears and access welfare benefits<\/li>\n<li>Complete referrals, assessments and admissions documentation<\/li>\n<li>Lead on support initiatives including group work<\/li>\n<li>Identify and promote opportunities for employment, education and training and support customers to remove barriers to accessing these opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Carry out health and safety checks, including room inspections and basic safety checks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>WHAT WE\u2019RE LOOKING FOR:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience supporting individuals with complex and multiple needs<\/li>\n<li>An understanding of the barriers faced by vulnerable and diverse customer groups and individuals with complex needs.<\/li>\n<li>Strong background in safeguarding and risk management, multi-agency working, housing-related support and tenancy sustainment<\/li>\n<li>Experience delivering structured support and risk management<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of psychological or trauma informed approaches<\/li>\n<li>Experience handling crisis situations and challenging behaviour<\/li>\n<li>Initiative and confidence to make and act on decisions<\/li>\n<li>Experience working in challenging environments with the ability to plan, prioritise, organise tasks to achieve results<\/li>\n<li>Ability to maintain accurate records and manage casework effectively<\/li>\n<li>Competent administrative and IT skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>FURTHER REQUIREMENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In order to register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary agency work, candidates must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Current valid right to work in the UK<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 12 months\u2019 of paid experience in a front line social care role within the last 3 years* (unless recruitment criteria states otherwise)<\/li>\n<li>A fully enhanced DBS either registered on the DBS update service or issued within the last 12 months, or willingness to apply for one through Central (at a cost of \u00a360)<\/li>\n<li>Employment or education history to cover the last 5 years which can be verified through the referencing process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>HOW TO APPLY:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you feel that you fully meet the above outlined criteria for this role and would like apply for this post, please forward your CV for consideration.<\/p>\n<p>*Please note the outlined experience is the &#8216;minimum&#8217;
