This role is ideal for experienced support workers seeking flexible shifts while making a positive difference to individuals working towards greater independence.<\/p>\n<p>You will provide practical and emotional support to residents, helping them develop essential life skills, access local services, maintain their accommodation, and progress towards independent living.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Shift Pattern<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Day Shift: 8:00 AM &#8211; 11:00 PM<\/li>\n<li>Night Shift: 11:00 PM &#8211; 8:00 AM<\/li>\n<li>Ad hoc \/ bank shifts to cover holidays, sickness, and increased service demand<\/li>\n<li>Weekend and bank holiday availability preferred<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deliver person-centred support to vulnerable adults.<\/li>\n<li>Support residents with independent living skills and daily routines.<\/li>\n<li>Encourage participation in education, employment, training, and community activities.<\/li>\n<li>Provide emotional support and guidance to help individuals achieve their goals.<\/li>\n<li>Promote dignity, well being, choice, and independence.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate support records, reports, and case notes.<\/li>\n<li>Work in line with safeguarding and health &amp; safety procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Build positive and professional relationships with residents and external agencies.<\/li>\n<li>Support residents to access local services and resources.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Essential Requirements<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous experience within support work, supported housing, homelessness services, adult social care, mental health, or similar settings.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication and relationship-building skills.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of safeguarding and risk management.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.<\/li>\n<li>Confident record-keeping and report-writing skills.<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility to pick up shifts at short notice when required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Important<\/p>\n<p>Due to the location of the service and the shift patterns, candidates must live locally or within a reasonable commuting distance.
