They are looking for an experienced Design Technician to join their expanding team based in the Reading area on a permanent basis.<\/p>\n<p> \u00a0<\/p>\n<p> <strong>The Design Technician will ideally have the following attributes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 2 years\u2019 experience in a Mechanical Engineering or hands-on Design Engineering role<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of sheet metal, welding, fabrication, castings etc.<\/li>\n<li>Basic proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software \u2013 Revit, AutoCAD<\/li>\n<li>Ability to understand Architectural and Structural drawings<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of R&amp;D &#8211; testing, protoyping, development etc.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient using MS Office<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Good mathematical and general engineering knowledge<\/li>\n<li>The ability to understand system requirements<\/li>\n<li>Be self-motivated with excellent attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> <strong>The Design Technician role will involve:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Designing and manufacturing prototypes and test equipment<\/li>\n<li>Testing, performing experiments, prototyping, verifying designs<\/li>\n<li>Using Revit &amp; AutoCAD to provide detailed drawings<\/li>\n<li>Working alongside Structural and Architectural Engineers \u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Being involved in final assembly of products<\/li>\n<li>Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports \/ plans<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring requirements and timescales<\/li>\n<li>Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation.
