Assist Security Group is seeking experienced security professionals with exceptional customer service skills and a background in fast-paced environments, ideally, within&nbsp;<strong>NHS Hospitals<\/strong>. As a Security Officer, you will receive comprehensive training to handle various situations, including conflict management and physical intervention.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities &amp; Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with the in-house security management team, following instructions from Hospital Security Managers.<\/li>\n<li>Manage queues, entrances, lobbies, wards, and car parks around the hospital premises.<\/li>\n<li>Provide assistance to the public, offering directions and information about the hospital and local area.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and contractors, ensuring a visible and vigilant security presence.<\/li>\n<li>Offer support to NHS staff and respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies.<\/li>\n<li>Utilize conflict management skills to de-escalate situations and minimize the need for physical intervention.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain effective communication via two-way radios and accurately report activities and incidents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Valid Door Supervisor licence.<\/li>\n<li>Right to Work in the UK.<\/li>\n<li>5-year employment\/educational history.<\/li>\n<li>Able to commute the the required areas &#8211; within 1 hour travel time<\/li>\n<li>Able to work in a fast paced, challenging environment. &nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Able to keep cool under pressure.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in using two-way radios.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Professional appearance and demeanor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred (but not essential) Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous experience in NHS environments.<\/li>\n<li>Security experience with conflict management.<\/li>\n<li>Additional training in Emergency First Aid, ACT, Safeguarding, Fire Marshall, Manual Handling, Conflict Management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive pay rate.<\/li>\n<li>Perkbox membership<\/li>\n<li>Shift pattern covering nights, days, and weekends (24\/7 site).<\/li>\n<li>Onsite training provided.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Hospital Security can be physically touch, mentally challenging and extremely rewarding! &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Equality, Diversity &amp; Inclusion<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Assist Security Group is an equal opportunities employer.
