{"id":60465,"date":"2026-05-14T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-05-13T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.desiblitz.com\/jobs\/job\/progression-coach-support-worker-outreach\/"},"modified":"2026-05-14T12:25:56","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T11:25:56","slug":"progression-coach-support-worker-outreach","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/www.desiblitz.com\/jobs\/job\/progression-coach-support-worker-outreach\/","title":{"rendered":"Progression Coach \/ Support Worker (Outreach)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Central Recruitment is working with a prominent<strong> national homelessness charity<\/strong>, whose work includes supporting and accommodating young people.<\/p>\n<p>Our client is currently recruiting for <strong>four<\/strong> <strong>Progression Coaches (Outreach)<\/strong> to work in the <strong>Manchester, Salford and Bolton<\/strong> areas providing support to <strong>young people<\/strong> (aged 18-25) who are at risk of <strong>homelessness.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>37.5 hours per week<\/li>\n<li>Monday &#8211; Friday<\/li>\n<li>Shifts: 09:00 &#8211; 17:00<\/li>\n<li>Temporary: approx. 3-4 months<\/li>\n<li>&pound;15.59 per hour (&pound;13.91 per hour, with &pound;1.68 holiday pay)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is an outreach role and the successful candidates will be required to work across the Manchester, Salford and\/or Bolton areas supporting young people in their accommodation and out in the community.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hold a caseload of up to 30 key clients and conduct regular key working sessions ensuring each client receives person-centred, tailored support.<\/li>\n<li>Produce high-quality risk assessment and a SMART outcomes-based support plan that are regularly reviewed<\/li>\n<li>Deliver one-to-one support in the local community and will occasionally facilitate group work<\/li>\n<li>Support all clients to achieve their desired outcomes relating to accommodation, improved financial stability, improved social networks and improved engagement in meaningful activities<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients at all times, including ensuring that Safeguarding and emergency alert procedures are followed and managed appropriately<\/li>\n<li>Provide support and advice on issues relating to housing, employment, education and benefits.<\/li>\n<li>Proactively collaborate and promote multiagency working by leading on partnerships with local agencies including statutory teams, private landlords, third sector organisations and others, to support the wellbeing of clients<\/li>\n<li>Involve clients in the decisions made about them and encourage participation in the organisation&#039;s wider community programme of activities<\/li>\n<li>Fully understand the requirements of the outcomes-based contract<\/li>\n<li>Work within the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and apply this to your daily work with young people and within the team<\/li>\n<li>Record your work accurately and in a timely manner on our client database, Inform<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please note that this role involves lone working.
