You will be working across <strong>Key Stage 1 <\/strong>(ages 5-7) and<strong> Key Stage 2<\/strong> (ages 7-11).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>KS1 learners<\/strong> are working at a <strong>nursery-level developmental stage<\/strong>, requiring a highly nurturing, play-based approach.<\/li>\n<li><strong>KS2 learners<\/strong> follow a <strong>practical, hands\u2011on curriculum<\/strong>, with some pupils needing strong emotional regulation support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting, positive relationships with children who rely heavily on adult support are essential.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the role as a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex needs and EHCPs<br \/> * Support learners working at early developmental stages, including sensory and play\u2011based interaction<br \/> * Assist the class teacher with adapted lesson delivery, behavioural regulation and personalised interventions<br \/> * Promote emotional regulation, independence and consistent routines<br \/> * Work collaboratively with the wider support team, including therapists and SEND leads<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What We&#8217;re Looking For from a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience supporting children with SEND, PMLD or SEMH (school or care setting)<br \/> * Confidence supporting children working significantly below age-related expectations<br \/> * A calm, compassionate and resilient approach<br \/> * Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively<br \/> * A relevant TA qualification is desirable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.<\/p>\n<p> Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business\/education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
