It is a role that suits someone who enjoys working with young people, values structure, and wants to play a meaningful part in a school&#8217;s day-to-day success.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervise lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher<\/li>\n<li>Manage the delivery of pre-prepared learning materials and keep students engaged throughout<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a positive, orderly, and inclusive classroom environment<\/li>\n<li>Handle pupil behaviour with consistency and in accordance with school policies<\/li>\n<li>Support and encourage students as they work through their set tasks<\/li>\n<li>Report any concerns, incidents, or issues promptly to the appropriate member of staff<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to a safe and respectful learning atmosphere for all pupils<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in a school or youth-facing environment is desirable<\/li>\n<li>The confidence and composure to manage a classroom independently<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to connect with young people<\/li>\n<li>Strong organisational skills with the ability to adapt quickly when needed<\/li>\n<li>A reliable, flexible, and positive approach to every working day<\/li>\n<li>A sincere interest in supporting pupils&#8217; learning and overall wellbeing<\/li>\n<li>An <strong>Enhanced DBS on the Update Service<\/strong> (or willingness to complete a new application)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing a new application.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>As an ethical, independent recruitment agency, GSL Education are committed to providing quality teaching and support staff across the UK.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To work with GSL Education in this role, you should:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have the right to work in the UK<\/li>\n<li>Hold an up-to-date CV with two references from the last 2 years<\/li>\n<li>Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information or to register your interest in this <strong>Cover Supervisor<\/strong> role, please click &#8216;Apply Now&#8217; to submit your full and up-to-date CV.
