Science Teacher – Full-Time, Long-Term Position<\/strong>
Location:<\/strong> Bushey, Hertfordshire
Salary:<\/strong> £34,398 – £46,839 (dependent on experience)
Start Date:<\/strong> February 2026<\/p>\n

We are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Bushey, recognised for its strong academic outcomes, inclusive ethos, and supportive learning environment. The school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from February 2026.<\/p>\n

This opportunity is suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are enthusiastic about delivering engaging and accessible science education.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

• Deliver engaging, practical Science lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students
• Teach within your specialism (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics preferred)
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and scientific enquiry
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback
• Contribute to curriculum planning and collaborate with the wider Science department
• Support GCSE students with exam preparation, coursework, and revision strategies
• Encourage involvement in STEM enrichment activities such as clubs and science events
• Play an active role in the wider life of the school<\/p>\n

Ideal Candidate<\/strong><\/p>\n

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification
(strong unqualified candidates will also be considered)<\/em>
• Experience teaching Science at secondary level
• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for science education
• Creative, student-centred teaching approach
• Effective classroom management with high expectations for all learners
• Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service<\/p>\n
