We are recruiting for a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to join a forward-thinking college in Derbyshire.<\/p>\n<p>This role offers the chance to deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across Levels 1-3, combining both practical workshop-based learning and classroom theory. You&#8217;ll play a vital role in supporting learners to develop the skills and knowledge needed for successful careers in engineering.<\/p>\n<p>We welcome applications from both qualified teachers and industry professionals looking to transition into Further Education. If you bring real-world experience and a passion for developing others, full teacher training and qualifications can be supported.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan and deliver high-quality teaching across Mechanical\/Manufacturing Engineering programmes (Levels 1-3)<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate both hands-on workshop sessions and classroom-based theoretical learning<\/li>\n<li>Support, assess, and monitor learner progress to ensure successful outcomes<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement<\/li>\n<li>Create an inclusive and motivating learning environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent)<\/li>\n<li>Industry experience within mechanical\/manufacturing engineering<\/li>\n<li>A passion for teaching and developing learners<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desirable:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HNC (or higher) in Mechanical\/Manufacturing Engineering<\/li>\n<li>A recognised teaching qualification (for candidates applying at the top of the salary band)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What We Offer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Salary between \u00a335,000 &#8211; \u00a346,000 (top band for qualified lecturers)<\/li>\n<li>Full teaching qualifications funded for unqualified candidates<\/li>\n<li>51 days annual leave<\/li>\n<li>Generous 28.68% pension scheme<\/li>\n<li>Flexible benefits package (including pension and holiday options)<\/li>\n<li>A supportive environment for those transitioning from industry into education<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your career, whether you&#8217;re an experienced educator or ready to move into teaching from industry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important Notice<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dovetail and Slate is a specialist education recruitment company.
