A two-form entry primary school based rated ‘Outstanding’ In their recent Ofsted inspection is currently looking for a nurturing and skills Teaching Assistant to join their team. This Teaching Assistant position is due to start in immediately and will continue full-time until July 2022. The annual salary for this position is £15,600 – £19,500. The school is based in the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham with accessible transport links to public transport. The leadership team pride themselves for their links to the community and their exceptionally well-resourced school with ample space for extracurricular activities.

This role will be based in Year 6 and your role will be to support a student in Year 6 who is at risk of exclusion due to persistent disruption in class. This school is looking for behaviour Teaching Assistant who can keep this student on task, set boundaries and ensure he makes significant progress academically. This school is waiting a diagnosis of ADHD from CAMHs and as a result is working below what the student is capable of in reading, writing and maths. This student is not physically aggressive towards adults and is able to follow certain school boundaries.

To be shortlisted for this Year 6 behaviour Teaching Assistant position, you need to:

  • Have exceptional behaviour management skills and able to support learning in core lessons as well as support this student in learning interventions
  • Be self-sufficient, self-reliant and able to manage a challenging pupil on your own
  • Be able to work closely with the student’s parents
  • Be available to work 5 days per week 8.30 am to 4.00 am

The Year 6 behaviour Teaching Assistant role would be suited for a candidate who has experience in KS2 / KS3 and has previous experience working within a Primary or Secondary PRU.
