Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you’ll take ownership of the service function, including:

• Scheduling and allocating work for Field and Workshop Engineers

• Planning and coordinating all PPM and statutory inspections

• Logging, prioritising, and managing breakdowns and defect reports

• Ordering, tracking, and managing spare parts from suppliers

• Keeping the Hire Desk and customers updated on repair progress and downtime

• Maintaining accurate service, maintenance, and compliance records

• Ensuring all work meets Health & Safety and industry standards

• Processing job sheets, checking labour hours, and handling service invoices

What we’re looking for:

To succeed as a Service Controller, you’ll ideally have:

• Experience on the hire or service side of a plant hire business, or a closely related industry

• A background working as a controller within engineering, service, or maintenance operations

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively

• Confident communication skills when dealing with engineers and customers
