Colmore Education are currently looking for a Teacher to work in PRU schools in the Sandwell area.

As a PRU Teacher, you will be…

• Leading and planning inventive and engaging classes for students with SEND.
• Leading the setting, monitoring, and optimisation of personalised targets for each student.
• Working one-to-one with students with behavioural challenges, such as Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
• Creating personalised targets and assessments for each student.
• Working collaboratively with other members of staff as part of a team.
• Mitigating any behavioural challenges.
• Building rapport and relationships with students to create encouraging learning environment.

As a PRU Teacher, you should…

• Be patient and compassionate when providing support.
• Be tolerant and understanding when tackling behavioural challenges posed by pupils.
• Be able to maintain a strong yet compassionate approach to discipline and support other teaching staff in their discipline.
• Have previous experience working with children with SEND and ideally BESD and SEMH.
• Have an appropriate qualification and hold QTS.
