£33,000 + Van + Overtime


Mainstay have a great opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Facilities Engineer to join a growing FM service provider who offers continuous support for their staff. Covering PPM and reactive maintenance across the Nottingham area. This is a fantastic chance to work for a growing company who offer career progression and invest in their staff


  • Management of all quality, environmental and Health & Safety on site in compliance with company policies and arrange the compliance with contractual requirements
  • Ensure the PPM and reactive maintenance are carried out to the correct specification in both frequency and quality
  • Organise and manage the mechanical and electrical maintenance schedule in compliance with current legislation as detailed in the CAFM system
  • Organise and manage external maintenance contractors to ensure mechanical, electrical and building fabric maintenance schedules are carried out in accordance with current legislation as detailed in the CAFM system
  • Identifying and implementing innovations to improve service delivery
  • Ensuring continuity of systems complying with all legal, qualitative health, safety and environmental standards
  • Ensuring tools, equipment and materials are available as and when required to ensure effective delivery of service
  • Ensuring all monitor compliance meets the expectation of the client along with quality and organisational goals of the company to the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2015
  • Ensure the availability 24 hours / day, 365 days per year call out service and prepared to work o vertime when required
  • Take ownership and deal with all facilities related on the FES contracted sites, including interaction with a variety of contractors including cleaners, ground’s maintenance, Electrical, Mechanical etc..
  • Assist supervisor with project planning including duties and responsibilities which may change in accordance with company needs
  • Any other duties as requested for the role


  • Electrical / Mechanical Qualification – Essential
  • Electrical Apprenticeship City & Guilds 2360 Level 1 & 2 or equivalent
  • City & Guilds 2391-52 Electrical Inspection & Testing or equivalent – Desirable
  • City & Guilds 2382-18 18th edition – Desirable
  • Minimum of 5 years post apprenticeship City & Guilds 2360 Level 1 & 2 or similar
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in an FM or building services maintenance position
  • Experienced in management systems (ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001, ISO 18001
  • Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety including risk assessment, COSHH etc
  • A proactive attitude and excellent planning skills
  • Good IT/Computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally & written
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and exceed customer expectation
  • Approachable and able to work part of a team
  • Work to a high standard and look for ways to improve working practices and processes to meet the needs of the business
  • Highly motivated, technical inquisitiveness, enthusiasm and commitment
  • Ability to Prioritise work and manage time effectively
  • Show initiative and work independently without supervision
  • Qualification in Health & Safety (IOSH Managing safety certificate or equivalent) – Desirable
