Job Title: Mobile Electrical Maintenance Technician

Salary: £36,000 to £42,000 per annum (dependent upon experience), plus company van and Veolia benefits

Hours: 43 hours per week. 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

Location: Mobile role covering Wigan, Preston and Manchester

What will you be doing?

  • Effective completion of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities on a range of Electrical and Instrumentation systems is required such as verification / calibration of pressure, level and flow instrumentation and carrying out Alarm, Trip and Interlock routines on systems.
  • You will be responsible for the maintenance and publication of plant quality records and reports and implementing Safe Systems of Work to included production of Permit to Work, Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Breakdown and repair in line with electrical, control and instrumentation
  • Project work and PPMs
  • Installation of equipment onsite

What are we looking for?

Essential

  • A proven engineering background within Electrical and/or Instrumentation industry with a recognised Time Served apprenticeship
  • Experienced on industrial Electrical and Instrumentation equipment
  • Experience with Electrical / Instrumentation fault finding and maintenance
  • Ability to assist with mechanical maintenance support
  • Full clean driving licence.

Desirable

  • Experience of calibrating industrial process instrumentation
  • Experience of carrying out Alarm, Trip and Interlock testing on systems
  • Experience of multi-skilled work to support both Electrical and Mechanical maintenance tasks within an Industrial environment
  • Knowledge of Steam Boiler plant to aid operations, maintenance and fault finding on plant
  • You will have experience of producing Health & Safety documentation such as Method Statement / Risk Assessments for tasks
  • Knowledge of SCADA (BMS / PMS) and PLC systems
  • Fault diagnosis, repair and maintenance of Water Treatment plant & equipment such as Effluent Treatment, Demineralisation and Reverse Osmosis
  • You will ideally possess qualification in some of the following areas – IOSH / CSCS Safety or equivalent, Confined Space, BOAS or equivalent, Steam Systems, Legionella Awareness, Industrial Gas Qualifications, IPAF / PASMA
