DESIblitz Job: Junior Technical Buyer – Engineering

Junior Technical Buyer required. Our client is a well-established and growing machinery manufacturer based in the Enfield area. Due to continued success, they are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Buyer to join the team.
The successful Junior Technical Buyer will support the technical procurement lead in the specification and purchasing of materials, products, and services for the equipment manufactured at the factory and delivered to site. They will also work closely with the design and management team.
Junior Technical Buyer – Engineering Position Overview
- Compiling purchase orders to the company procedure
- Negotiating with suppliers for the best quality, service and price
- Taking responsibility for chasing purchase orders for delivery times
- Monitor supplier performance and report findings to management.
- Monitoring the stock levels and replenishing in line with agreed minimum stock levels
- Assist with stock control and the coordination of activities
- General administrative duties including saving of purchasing paperwork and delivery notes.
- Assist in the review of supplier performance
Junior Technical Buyer – Engineering Position Requirements
- Some previous technical engineering experience
- Knowledge of Engineering process components e.g. Pumps, valves would be beneficial but not necessary.
- Based in a commutable distance of Enfield
- Full UK Driving License
- Microsoft office experience is essential
- Education Level 4 NVQ, HNC, or equivalent in Engineering or higher Good time management skills
Junior Technical Buyer – Engineering Position Remuneration
- Salary £24,000 – £28,000 – depending on experience
- Flexible working: genuine flexible working involving one to two days in the office per month or as required.
- Full-time, permanent position, Monday to Friday.
- Holiday allowance and pension
