Role:

Sheet metal fabrication and powder coating to architectural finishes.

Working with other members of the team on large products to ensure that items are fabricated in the correct order and are delivered on the correct dates.

• Use of Guillotine and press brake
• Forming and handling of thin gauge sheet metals
• You will need a basic understanding of technical / engineering drawings and be willing to enhance your knowledge over time
• Operating and setting sheet metal machinery such as press brakes, Spot Welders and rolling machines
• Use of press and form tooling
• Actively supporting parts, tooling and process improvements
• TIG / MIG welding experience would be an advantage but isn’t essential

Skills / person:

• One years experience in fabrication and welding in a manufacturing / production environment
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Have a flexible attitude to meet customer requirements and deadlines when required
• Willing to work overtime when required
• Willing to work as part of a team but also work on own initiative when directed
• Prior stainless steel and aluminium TIG welding experience beneficial but not essential
• Basic awareness of health and safety and it’s application within the manufacturing environment
• City and Guilds Welding Skills or equivalent in beneficial but not essential
