Junior Civil Litigation Lawyer
This is a temporary assignment for an initial period of 3 months, based in the Town Hall with the ability to work remotely for most of the week.

You will be one of a team of lawyers dealing with a variety of Civil Litigation matters. This particular assignment has been created to deal with an influx of disrepair claims against the Council.
You must demonstrate knowledge and experience of the law relating to the Council’s repairing obligations and have the ability to conduct a large caseload of disrepair claims.
You will be expected to manage your caseload with minimum supervision and accustomed to working at pace in a busy team.
You may be called upon to deal with other housing and general civil litigation matters, so experience of possession claims, anti-social behaviour, homelessness, commercial property and judicial reviews will be an advantage.
You should also demonstrate experience of advocacy in the County Court. Requirements
You must be a Qualified Solicitor/Barrister or Fellow of CILEX and hold a practising certificate
