Assistant Buyer. £20k-25k Dept on exp. Nottinghamshire. We are recruiting for an Assistant Buyer for our well established, independent client in the Nottinghamshire area.

This position would suit a purchasing administrator/buying assistant looking for the next step in their procurement career, this is a hugely progressive and developmental role as you would be the sole buyer under the direction of the Managing Director. Daily duties may include. Working predominantly from Excel spreadsheets looking at current stock, ordered stock, historical movements etc. Setting the direction for expenditure.

Setting up minimum stock levels and reacting when margins are close. Dealing with imported products. Working closely with the sales team in order to react customer demand. Dealing with suppliers managing contracts etc.

Eventually growing into the role, taking over the buying for the businessThe ideal candidate will have had exposure to buying/procurement in a supportive/entry level position and the following. Entry level buying/procurement experience/exposure. Sage 200 experience or similar. Proficient user of MS Excel.

Export buying experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
