Role: Religious Education Teacher
Location: Barking and Dagenham, East London
Salary: £28000-£48000 per annum
Start Date: January 2023
Contract: Permanent

GSL Education are currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic, and passionate Religious Education (RE) Teacher for one of our client school in East London, immediately. This is a permanent role. The school strives to instil in the students with the traditional principles of respect, discipline, and responsibility in order to prepare them for the difficulties of exams, social situations, and the workplace.
 
About RE Teacher Job Responsibilities:

• To meticulously plan, prepare, and present courses and instructional sequences to ensure that students learn meaningfully and grow quickly and steadily
• Encourage the growth of all students’ moral, social, spiritual, and cultural values
• To educate students about possibilities to continue their education outside of scheduled classes, both inside and outside of the classroom, and encouraging and supporting student involvement in such activities
• Be able to help pupils overcome their barriers to learning.
• To share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor personal and academic growth opportunities.

 
The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified teacher with QTS or QTLS.
• Having prior experience teaching Religious Studies will be an advantage
• Experienced, authoritative, specialized subject knowledge reflected in a good degree and an appropriate teaching qualification.
• Being a professional, passionate, and enthusiastic educator.
• Possess a Child-Only Enhanced DBS on the Update service or be willing to process one through GSL Education.
