Architectural Technician/ Technologist

I am delighted to be supporting a RIBA Chartered Architectural and Interior practice based in Sheffield, who deliver projects throughout the UK to the highest design quality. My client works across a range of diverse projects with some of their recent work covering Commercial, Residential, Education, Hospitality and the Student Accommodation sectors.
The ideal candidate will have post-graduation (BSc or equivalent) experience and ideally be working towards gaining their chartership. With this role you should have clear and accurate drafting skills and a broad understanding of construction and detailing.

Skills, Experience and Responsibilities for the role of Architectural Technician/ Technologist:
- BSc in Architectural Technology or an equivalent qualification.
- A sound knowledge of the UK building regulations and planning policies.
- Experience in AutoCAD is essential, and an understanding of Revit would be preferable.
- Be design driven and have excellent technical skills shown through your portfolio.
- Partake in the running of projects, whilst supporting the more senior members of the team.
- Support the project teams in the design and delivery of medium-large scale projects, mainly in the residential sector but also, student accommodation and commercial sectors too.
- You will have a particular focus on technical design and construction work stages.
- Ensure all your projects are met within the given time frame and to an excellent standard.
- Strong communication skills both verbally and written.
- An interest in sustainable design would be beneficial.
