Property Portfolio Junior Consultant

Our Head Office Property Department is strengthening their team and is looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and analytical person determined to build a career in a challenging international environment to join the Property Expansion Team. Help turn our expansion plans into reality!

For the successful candidate, this is an ideal opportunity to join a fast paced and efficient team at the forefront of our company’s ambitious development plans in a position which offers both responsibility and variety.

What you’ll do

  • Working in the Head Office at a national strategic level to drive forward store expansion and develop the existing portfolio
  • Providing support to the Head office property team
  • Reviewing regional proposals at all stages of the store life cycle (Location Planning/ Site Acquisition/ Planning Permission/ Opening/ Modernisation/ Relocation/ Disposal)
  • Key role within the team in assisting with the preparation of store expansion proposals submitted to Head Office for Board presentation, including legal contracts
  • Liaising with and providing support to our 17 Regional Property Offices on store proposals
  • Providing support for in-house property systems and procedures, while ensuring confidentiality, compliance with legal requirements and operational specifications (internal policies, etc.)
  • Completing related project work including national presentation, reports, procedures and deadline management
  • Responsibility for maintaining departmental trackers and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure data accuracy
  • Understanding the company’s ‘bigger picture’ and the property role within the organisation as a whole

What you’ll need

  • Degree educated (2:1 or above)
  • A strong proactive team player with the ability to build solid, effective working relationships
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of the business
  • Confident in supporting executive management
  • Assertive with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Ability to digest, analyse and appraise proposals pragmatically and thoroughly
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A self-motivated and proactive individual with a can-do attitude and the ability to work on projects and solve problems using their own initiative
  • Development and investment appraisal skills beneficial
  • Ability to work independently and manage conflicting priorities with ease and efficiency
  • An excellent multi-tasker with exceptional organisational abilities
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • German language beneficial but not essential
  • Driver’s licence advantageous but not essential
