Synopsis
In post 9/11 Pakistan, a quest for self-identity leads the inspirational journey of a music show to reclaim the rich and vast musical heritage of this region, defying odds to become one of the biggest music initiatives from this side of the world.
Adnan masterly puts together a powerful narrative, discovering the show from its humble beginnings, as artists unify eastern and western sounds including folk, sufi, rock, pop and rap music that will resonate across the globe; breaking stereotypes and planting the seeds for an ongoing inward reflection of who we are as individuals and as a people.
DIRECTOR BIO
Adnan is an award-winning filmmaker, Berlinale Talents Alum and Fulbright Scholar whose works have received much acclaim globally, being showcased at the DGA headquarters in Los Angeles and winning more than 25 awards worldwide, including the prestigious ‘Frank Capra Award’ and ‘Best Science Fiction / Fantasy Film’ at Comic-Con.
